I find it rather interesting in how I actually teach myself the matrix of how web site engines run. For instance, phpBB was one of my latest adventures, still is, but WordPress 2.7 has sparked my graphical mind set towards other projects that need a bit more twisting. I use my own personal web space to test out how these engines work while checking out all the different themes and styles other designers have created using the same engine, then if I find a theme or style that fits the project I’m working on, I’ll use it’s skeleton for my framework and then lay over my art work that best fits the client’s desires thus creating a new theme or style. However the web site’s frame maybe twisted to fit the ideas I have throughout the design process.
