Rest In Peace Jim

I’m planning on saddling up for a ride before and after the funeral in the memory of Jim Hirt on Saturday morning. It’s currently about 1:00 am Saturday so I guess I’d best get some rest. If you care to join in, come ride. Jim wasn’t only just a co-worker, but a guy that I respected on many levels. The stories he’d tell about his family and riding always made me smile. He helped me bring my new scoot home last year and I got the impression that he’s always been there to help everyone. Thanks God, for placing people like Jim in our midsts to help us down the paths of life.

It was a good ride today, cold, but after putting on two sets of gloves I survived the cold. First day out with plates too… Thanks Jim for all you did for me, especially for our friendship!!!!

I heard the funeral was filled with many many people. This I solely believe, because of the way Jim lived his life and the way he belived in his family, coworkers and friends. The experiences he must have had through life will be told through his wife, children and the many that was blessed to have him in their lives. Even if only for a moment for some, the gratitude and thanks is felt from all as if the same.

I had a very nice ride in his honor, riding solo without music and just a nice cool brisk morning.

There was always a little “wish I had a motorcycle” thing… but didn’t know it would ever happen. Thanks to you and the rest of our brothers and sisters of the Sentinels for poking me towards it… now I can’t stop. Now I just need to find someone that enjoys riding on the back or next to me.
